1) Scope

These terms govern all bookings made with Arunalu Lanka Tours (“we/us”). Paying a deposit, balance, or submitting a booking form indicates acceptance of these terms.

2) Inclusions & Exclusions

• Trips include only services stated on your confirmed itinerary/invoice.
• Items not listed are excluded (personal expenses, tips, optional tours, visas, PCR/tests).

3) Prices & Payments

• Currency: LKR (Sri Lankan Rupees). If quoted in USD/EUR, conversions follow your payment provider’s rate.
• Deposit: [__%] due within [__] hours of confirmation. Balance due [__ days] before start.
• Methods: Card via our secure gateway, bank transfer, or cash LKR at office (by prior agreement).

4) Cancellations by Traveller

• ≥ [30] days: refund minus [__%] admin.
• [29–15] days: [__%] of trip price forfeited.
• ≤ [14] days / no-show: 100% forfeited.
• Refunds are returned to the original payment method only.

5) Changes by Traveller

Date/name changes are subject to availability and supplier fees. Any fare/price difference will be quoted before proceeding.

6) Changes by Us / Force Majeure

If a service is unavailable, we provide an equal or higher value alternative or a pro-rata refund for the affected component. We aren’t liable for events beyond control (weather, strikes, natural disasters, park closures, train disruptions).

7) Health, Insurance & Safety

Travellers are responsible for adequate travel/medical insurance and for following guide instructions, national park rules, and local laws. Keep safe distances from wildlife.

8) Visas & Entry

Passports/visas and health requirements are the traveller’s responsibility. See our Visa & Travel Info.

9) Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law our liability is limited to the amount paid for the affected service.

10) Privacy

We process your personal data in line with the Privacy Policy.

11) Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Venue: Kalutara District courts.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

How to cancel: Email bookings@arunalankatours.com from your booking email with the reference number.

• Refund initiation: within 7–10 business days after supplier confirmation. Banks/gateways may take extra time.
• Non-refundable items: visa fees, used/partly used park or train tickets, hotel no-show charges.
• Partially used services: pro-rata refunds only where suppliers agree.
• Chargebacks: we provide delivery evidence per these terms and issued vouchers.

Data we collect

• Identity & contact: name, email, phone/WhatsApp.
• Trip details: arrival date, hotel preferences, passport/DOB only when required by hotels/parks/railways.
• Payment refs from the gateway (we do not see or store card numbers).
• Site analytics & cookies for performance and security.

Why we process it

• To perform a contract (plan and deliver your trip).
• Legitimate interests (service quality, fraud prevention, analytics).
• Legal obligations (invoicing, tax records).

Sharing

Hotels and ground operators, Sri Lanka Railway/Parks where needed, and our payment gateway. Never sold.

Retention

Bookings: 7 years. Enquiries: 12 months. You can request access, correction, or deletion via hello@arunalankatours.com.

Cookies

We use essential cookies and limited analytics. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings.

Delivery / Fulfilment

• What you receive: confirmed itinerary PDF, entrance/ticket references where applicable, driver/guide contact and pickup time.
• When: within 24–72 hours of payment confirmation (tickets subject to third-party release times; we share ETA by email).
• How: Email + WhatsApp; printed vouchers are not required.
